The Toddlers Room at Chestnut Nursery School The Maples took part in “World Bee Day” today. The children participated in several activities relating to the World Bee Day, such as creating their own bee pictures using paper plates, and exploring sensory and mathematics using yellow and black rice. The children also went to search for bees in our flower garden, using magnifying glasses to spot them.
Bees have such an important part to play in maintaining the environment and our planet. They are vital to both pollinate the food we need to survive and pollinate many of the trees and flowers that provide habitats for wildlife.
